On Friday, Oct. 8, at 12:30 p.m. EDT, Notre Dame Legislation School will host “Clearing up some misconceptions about the Supreme Court’s shadow docket — and its critics,” introduced by University of Texas University of Legislation professor Stephen Vladeck. Professor Samuel Bray will respond. The occasion is co-sponsored by the Countrywide Lawyers Guild, ACLU, and LGBT Legislation Discussion board at Notre Dame and will be livestreamed on YouTube. The event follows Justice Samuel Alito’s speech at Notre Dame defending the courtroom’s use of the shadow docket.
