Board of Trustees and Law Library Foundation Honor Director John Adkins

This September, the Law Library&#8217s Board of Trustees honored our beloved Director, John Adkins, with the Stephanie L. Schweter Award for Excellence and the San Diego Law Library Basis renamed the Downtown Place&#8217s 3rd-flooring boardroom the John W. Adkins Boardroom, stating:

&#8220John has been a common experience at the San Diego Legislation Library for about 15 many years. Whilst he commenced out as a part-time reference librarian, bringing his expertise and lawful information to Regulation Library patrons on the weekends, he expended the past 11 decades as the Law Library Director, major the recovery from the economic crisis of 2008, a main renovation in 2012, lobbying condition legislature for enhanced and regular funding, and the COVID pandemic of 2020. Via it all, John enthusiastically led the Regulation Library personnel with concentration on a revitalized mission of &#8220Legislation Produced Community&#8221 for every man or woman residing in San Diego County.
