FREE Class on Tracing Native American Ancestry March 12

Did you know that San Diego County has far more Native American Indian Reservations than any other county in the United States, and California has the country’s biggest Native American population? In overall, there are 583 federally acknowledged tribes in the United States, in accordance to the Bureau of Indian Affairs.

About the Speaker:

Mica Llerandi, a member of the Navajo Country, joined California Indian Legal Providers as a Personnel Lawyer in January 2018. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Religious Scientific tests from Yale University and her Juris Physician and a Certification in Indigenous People’s Regulation and Coverage from the University of Arizona, James E Rogers College of Regulation. Just after legislation university, Mica labored on many Indian reservations in both equally state and tribal courts in Arizona. She moved to California in 2016 and, right before joining CILS, represented little ones in San Diego County dependency proceedings.
