Justice Thomas cancels plans to teach at DC law school

WASHINGTON (AP) — Supreme Court docket Justice Clarence Thomas has backed out of training a seminar at George Washington University’s legislation university in the nation’s capital, following student protests and the university’s assertion of help for the conservative justice’s role on campus.

“Justice Thomas informed GW Regulation that he is unavailable to co-train a Constitutional Legislation Seminar this slide,” college spokesperson Josh Grossman explained in an emailed statement Wednesday.

Thomas, 74, has taught at the personal college considering the fact that 2011. He was meant to lead the seminar with Choose Gregory Maggs of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces. Maggs when served as a Supreme Courtroom clerk to Thomas.
