Law Library Foundation Welcomes New Members Emily Howe and George A. Rios III

The Legislation Library is psyched to welcome two new members to the San Diego Legislation Library Foundation!  We are repeatedly grateful for the guidance of the San Diego Legislation Library Foundation, which is arranged as a charitable rely on affiliated with the San Diego Legislation Library. The sole mission of the Foundation is to help us in our attempts to offer accessibility to justice as a result of our numerous means and courses. The Foundation is identified as a 501(c)(3) business set up for scientific and academic reasons by the IRS.

 

The Foundation welcomes Emily Howe to the Board. Her occupation focuses on wrongful loss of life/catastrophic injuries civil legal rights and private injuries, and assists socially mindful people, start off-ups, and nonprofits in navigating the legal earth. Starting up in 1998, she received plan experience at the U.S. House of Representatives, U.S. Senate, and the British House of Commons, prior to becoming a member of the U.S. Peace Corps, exactly where she led group health non-federal government courses in West Africa. Howe served as a judicial extern for the Hon. John S. McCann, received negotiation/mediation experience at the nonprofit International Majority, promoted peacebuilding initiatives at the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice and received nonprofit experience over the system of two many years. Howe is a USD College of Legislation graduate, exactly where she served as an Equivalent Justice Works chair of the Community Fascination Legislation Foundation. She served in leadership positions as co-chair of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association’s affinity network, officer of Pan Asian Attorneys of San Diego, and as an energetic member of the William B. Enright Chapter of the American Inns of Court docket, Attorneys Club, and Returned Peace Corps Associations.

 

Our second new member, George A. Rios III, handles civil litigation matters at Mulvaney, Barry, Beatty, Linn, & Mayers, LLP. Rios attended SDSU exactly where he acquired his B.S. in Enterprise Administration and then attended Loyola Legislation College in Los Angeles exactly where he played an energetic function in Loyola’s Juvenile Legal rights Challenge. Rois is energetic in the San Diego group. He serves as the Director-at-Significant for the San Diego La Raza Attorneys Association (SDLRLA), exactly where he also co-chairs Challenge L.E.A.D. (Lawful Enrichment and Conclusion-Generating) with the San Diego County District Attorney’s Business office, SDLRLA’s Membership Committee. Rios also serves on the Alumni Board of Directors for St. Augustine Substantial College and the Centre Metropolis Toastmasters.

 

We are elated to have this sort of achieved people supporting our mission.
