Have you had your identity stolen, or are you worried that someone could be fraudulently using your identity RIGHT NOW?
At this Know the Law! an attorney from the San Diego County DA’s office will discuss types of fraud, mail theft, and identity theft, and provide information on how to safeguard your identity. Attendees will see photos from real world cases and view instruments criminals use to create fake credit cards.
Know the Law! is a multiple part series led by volunteer attorneys in their area of practice. This lecture series will provide a basic level of knowledge on a variety of legal topics including a short Q & A.
This series is a partnership between SDLL, the San Diego County Library Vista Branch, and the North County Bar Association.
These volunteer attorneys should NOT be considered as personal lawyers. You may be required to sign a waiver before speaking to an attorney that states that no attorney client relationship is being created with this free service. The lawyers are there to provide general guidance.
