New Maryland COVID-19 Workplace Safety Law
Fast Hit: Maryland has joined Virginia and New York in enacting a COVID-19 place of work protection law (HB 581), the Maryland Necessary Workers’ Protection Act (the “EWPA” or the “Act”). The law imposes place of work prerequisites on selected employers during a wellbeing unexpected emergency – employers that work in selected essential sectors and have workforce who should perform onsite in essential functions.
