Supreme Court Orders 4th Circuit to Reconsider Affirmance of $9.7 Million Judgment

The Supreme Court recently purchased the Fourth Circuit to rethink its ruling affirming the conditional certification of a course of countless numbers of house home loan refinance candidates and summary judgment in their favor, permitting every course member to get better $3,500 in statutory damages. The plaintiffs claimed that a mortgage loan organization unlawfully pressured appraisers to improve the benefit of their appraisals by giving borrowers’ estimates of their homes’ value on appraisal request sorts….
