College of Maine Process Chancellor Dannel Malloy has acquired a vote of no self-confidence from school at the University of Maine at Machias — the fourth campus in the method to vote no self-confidence in the chancellor in recent months.

The college assembly at the Machias campus voted unanimously 11- this 7 days to guidance previously votes of no self-assurance at the College of Maine at Augusta, the College of Southern Maine and the University of Maine at Farmington, in accordance to a letter issued by the Machias school and claimed Friday by Information Centre Maine.
“In so accomplishing we express mistrust of the existing administration of the UMaine Procedure and the questionable strategies with which they are pursuing their aims,” the letter states.
The method is comprised of seven principal campuses throughout the state.
Faculty at the College of Maine at Augusta had been the 1st to vote no self confidence in the chancellor this month following fears about the lookup for a new president on that campus and a vote of no self esteem the incoming president been given from his previous university in New York.
USM college followed, citing the departure of a few technique presidents in the previous calendar year and a lack of college enter in system decisions. And on Wednesday, UMF faculty voted no confidence because of to concerns which include the elimination of 9 positions in the humanities and social sciences and integration into the system’s unified accreditation.
In a response to the USM no-self-assurance vote, Malloy stated that he respects the voices of college associates and can take their concerns very seriously. He also touted alterations he’s manufactured to the procedure since his arrival in 2019, which includes some of the things college cited as problems, like unified accreditation and going the University of Maine Faculty of Legislation to downtown Portland.
